Unique Antique Rocking Chair--$75

Why am I letting this one-of-a-kind chair go at such a low price? Two reasons: The "attic" section of the paper has a $75 limit, and I want it to sell quickly so I can get on with redecorating my place.

I originally bought this chair for my hyper son to sit in while watching television. This chair helped him work off some of that energy.

You'll see that the unique design of this chair makes it one of the few "cat safe" rocking chairs in existence!

Take a look and give me a call at 936-715-5670 if you'd like to come by.

Nice detail, and the caning is in fabulous shape.

Gorgeous Hutch from Dolores Hildalgo

I hand-selected this hand-carved piece at a furniture gallery in Dolores Hidalgo, Mexico. I even got to meet the man who did the carvings. The "fabrica" that I purchased this piece from does not do mass production. Every piece they sell is one of a kind.

It's a nice piece, although it has made even the burliest movers say words that are unprintable here on this site. The hutch and the drawers are attached, you see. No prefab put-it-together-yourself junk here. This piece is perhaps the sturdiest piece of furniture you'll ever own.

There are six drawers underneath those shelves, all of which are solid pine. The pulls are rustic iron. At around 5 feet wide and 7 feet tall, if you are short on storage space, this will take care of that problem.

Please excuse the casual nature of the photo. I never thought I'd sell this piece, and then I moved here, got a fixer-upper and put the hutch in storage. I have now given up on the fixer-upper. Note to others considering such a move: It takes more than sanding floors and a fresh coat of paint to fix up a fixer-upper. Below is the reason why I gave up and moved to an apartment, forcing me to part with my lovely hutch.

Some things are just not meant to be...

This hutch is a STEAL at $495. Shoot, it cost me almost that much to have it shipped here! For comparison's sake, check out the price on this much smaller mass-produced piece.

You must arrange for delivery yourself. If necessary, I can have it delivered within a 30 mile radius of University and Austin for a $100 delivery charge.
